Marina González

Born and raised under the radiant sun of Málaga, Spain, I currently call the vibrant city of Tokyo my home, where I work as a designer and illustrator.

My fascination with Japanese culture began, like many others, through late 90’s anime. I even did martial arts and studied Japanese for a few years while I was in high school. In 2012, I embarked on a journey to the UK to learn English and build a new life. After spending two years working in a London sushi restaurant (yes, SUSHI!), I landed my first internship as a designer and illustrator. In 2018, I decided to move to Tokyo on a Working Holiday Visa, initially anticipating just a few months of adventure. However, Tokyo quickly became my new home, a place where I've flourished ever since.

In my free time, I find joy in capturing the essence of Japanese daily life through photography and illustration. My artistic style is heavily influenced by 90’s anime, embracing pastel colors, and reflecting the beauty of everyday moments.
